The South Stanley Partnership. Sounds a bit posh, doesn't it? Did you know it's a
group of very ordinary local people, just like you, who have joined together
to try and make life better where they live?
Over the past 5 years these people have helped turn St. Stephen's Church Hall back into the community facility it was always intended to be, working with the Local Authority, the Church, Sure Start and other Service Providers to begin to realise what at first seemed a mad idea.
The Partnership sends representatives to Stanley Green Corridor Neighbourhood Management, making known the views and wishes of the people of South Stanley.
The Partnership meets regularly in St. Stephen's Centre usually on the first Monday of February and every two months after that. When the first Monday is a Bank Holiday, we meet on the second Monday. Meetings begin at 6.30pm.
At the meetings we try to keep residents up - to - date on developments in our area. More importantly, we give the opportunity for residents to tell us their interests and concerns.
